Using these in a 4000 sq. ft. shop on 4 light relays that operate the 1st and 2nd floor lights. Work great. Easy to program. One switch can control multiple receivers so I saved money and time since not having to run 3-way traveler wiring. (see picture for schematic for 1 unit, duplicate for multiples). This diagram with dry contact relay prevents current bleeding to led lights. Also the 30 amp relay allows more current flow to lights or other devices.

To start off, this product can really be used for two separate things: either "creating" a switch for a wired device which has no switch, or for "rerouting" the switch for a device that already has one. For my project, I needed to do the latter, and I will explain just how to do that. The wireless receiver has four wires coming out of it (a red, a brown, and two blues). The two blues should connect to white (positive) wires and the red and brown should each connect to black (negative) wires. When wiring a device with no previously-installed switch, this is intuitive because you have to "tap into" both black and white wires and run them in and back out of a the receiver. However, those looking to replace a wall switch will find only the black wires running into the existing switch. In these cases, you want to run one black wire to the receiver's red wire, and another black wire to the receiver's brown wire. Then, you'll want to connect BOTH blue wires to the white wire(s). In a standard modern house switch box, you should find the white wires all wire-nutted together and shoved in the back of the box. Simply remove the wire nut, add both blue wires to the bundle, and replace the wire nut. This simply acts to power the receiver, while the receiver acts to open and close the circuit on the black wire. If you are installing two or more receivers in a double- or triple-gang switch box, simply connect ALL blue wires to the bundle of white. In my case, I had two receivers, so a total of four blue wires that all got wrapped together with the existing rat's nest of white wires, held together by a single large wire nut.

In replacing lighting in our new house built in 1961, I came across a hall light with a three way circuit where all the wires in the box had char marks on them. Moving them even a little caused the coating to fall off. Scary stuff. I wrapped all paired wires with electric tape and put them in a plastic junction box just above the original metal one. Tapped a live wire from another lightning circuit to install the new light with these switches to operate it. Could hardly been any easier.

Purchased this after 3 other products failed to do what they claimed, which was activate wirelessly at a distance. I have this outfitted to my detached garage lights. The receiver (located in the attic of the garage) is approximately 30' away from the remote (that is just inside the back door to the house) and it actually works, every time. I placed the secondary remote inside the detached garage in case I was out in the garage during the day, and could turn the garage lights on at night to be able to see to lock the door and have my walk path lit. Then when back inside, easily turn them off. Allowed me to not have to bury cable underground to accomplish the same thing. I am running 2 - 9 watt LED bulbs on the circuit.

I actually needed a plug dongle, not one that installed in light fixture because the light in the room is actually a switched plug connect to 2 lamps. Couldn't find a "2 switch w/ 1 receiver plug" combo (making the combo a 3-way equivalent solution) so I took the receiver and mounted it in a small project box, cut off the 2 ends of a lamp extension cord as pig tails hanging out of the box, left a hole in top to be able to push the pairing button, a small hole for antenna to hang out. Used the supplied wire connectors for connections in the box and used cable ties around the cord pigtails to keep them from pulling out of the box. Voila! - I had a receiver for the switched plug with a switch at the door and one at the bed.(See diagram) Pairing and setting up took seconds! They work GREAT! And they look great.

Wow! This item worked well on my fan lights. I just wired it on the light portion of the fan lights compartment and it was a tight fit but I worked like a charm. I would highly recommend this item.

I have a fan and light above my dining room table that was hardwired no switch. It drove me insane to have having to reach over the table to pull the chain to turn on and off the lights ever day. The fan is no issue I didnt mind puking chain for that since that is either on 24-7 during summer or off during winter.
